The Europe26 DMC team

Our story

Who we are and how we work

Europe26 DMC is a tour operator and destination management company for travel across Europe. We plan and run trips in 37 countries, from the United Kingdom and Ireland to the Mediterranean, Central and Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. Some of our clients come to us for a single airport transfer. Others hand us a three-week journey for a family of twelve, or a conference with a programme of excursions around it.

What links all of it is the work behind the scenes. Hotels, drivers, guides, trains, entrance times, restaurant tables and the small details that make a day run on time. That is what a destination management company does, and it is what we enjoy doing.

What a DMC actually does

A destination management company, or DMC, is the local partner that turns a plan into a working trip. Instead of booking each piece separately, you deal with one team that knows the ground, has relationships with suppliers and is responsible for making the pieces fit together.

In practice that means we:

  • design itineraries around your dates, pace, interests and budget;
  • choose and reserve hotels, from city-centre four-star properties to characterful country inns;
  • arrange transport, whether that is a chauffeur-driven saloon, a 9-seat Mercedes van, a 16- or 19-seat minibus or a 49-seat coach, rail tickets or a self-drive car;
  • book local guides, guided walks, museum and palace visits, and timed entry where it is needed;
  • organise the extras that matter to a particular trip, such as a private dinner, a photo shoot at a landmark or a boat on the lake;
  • stay in touch while you travel, so that a delayed flight or a change of plan is handled by people who already know your booking.

What we offer

Our ready-made tours fall into two families. Multi-day tours include private van tours, city breaks, rail tours and self-drive tours, each with hotel nights, transport and sightseeing set out in the inclusions. Day experiences cover Europe and UK day tours, guided walking tours, Christmas market tours in winter and professional photography tours at well-known locations.

Alongside the tours we arrange airport and city transfers, private and tailor-made trips, group tours, MICE and corporate events, car rental, private jet charter and yacht charter. Many trips use several of these at once. A family might arrive by private jet, spend a week on a chauffeured tour and finish with three nights on a crewed yacht. A company might fly sixty people to a conference and then send them on a choice of afternoon excursions.

How we work

1. Listening and planning

Every trip starts with a conversation. You tell us where you would like to go, when, who is travelling and what matters to you, and we ask the questions that save trouble later. Are there older travellers or young children? Does anyone have mobility needs or dietary requirements? Is the budget firm or flexible? From there we prepare a proposal with a day-by-day plan, the hotels we suggest and what is included.

2. Refining and confirming

Few itineraries are right first time, and that is expected. We adjust the route, swap hotels or change the pace until it suits you. Once you are happy, we confirm availability, set out the price and payment terms in writing and secure the arrangements.

3. Operations

Before you travel, the operations side takes over: reconfirming hotels and drivers, checking timings, preparing your documents and passing on contact details for the people you will meet. For groups, this is where rooming lists, special requests and vehicle sizes are checked once more.

4. Support during the trip

While you are away, you have a named point of contact. If a train is cancelled, the weather turns or someone in the group falls ill, we work out the alternatives with you and rearrange what needs rearranging.

Who we work with

Private clients and families

Couples, families and friends who want a trip shaped around them rather than around a brochure. Private tours are for your party only, with your own vehicle and driver, and you decide where to stop and how long to stay.

Groups

Family reunions, community and faith groups, alumni associations, clubs and corporate teams. Groups need a different kind of planning: the right vehicle, hotels that can take everyone together, meal stops that work for forty people and guides who can hold a crowd. We plan for that from the start.

Travel agents and tour operators

We also work as a ground handler for the trade. If you sell travel and need a partner in Europe to contract services, build itineraries to your brief and look after your clients on the ground, we can work under your brand and to your documents.

Companies and event planners

Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions in cities such as London, Edinburgh, Paris, Barcelona and Vienna, with venues, hotels, transfers and post-event programmes arranged together.

What we care about

  • Honest advice. If a plan tries to fit too much into too few days, we will say so. A good trip has room to breathe.
  • Clear information. Each tour states what is and is not included, and every quote is confirmed in writing before you pay.
  • Care for the details. The right seat on the train, a hotel close to the evening’s restaurant, a driver who knows where coaches can stop.
  • Respect for places and people. We favour local guides and suppliers and encourage travel outside the busiest weeks where it suits the trip.

Why use a local partner

Booking everything yourself can work well for a simple city break. It becomes harder when a trip crosses borders, involves a group or depends on timings that cannot slip. A local partner knows which museums need booking weeks ahead, how long a transfer really takes on a Friday afternoon and which hotels can manage a late check-in for twenty people. When something changes, one call reaches a team that can act on it.

That is the value of a DMC: fewer loose ends for you, and a trip that holds together from the first transfer to the last.

What we value

The way we like to travel

Four ideas guide every itinerary we write and every trip we operate.

Pace before quantity

Fewer hotel changes, realistic travel times and free time built in. Seeing less, but properly, usually means remembering more.

Honest advice

If a route is too ambitious or a month too busy, we will say so and suggest something better.

Care for the details

Seat reservations, luggage, accessibility and dietary needs are planned in, not left to chance.

Respect for places

We favour local guides and family-run businesses, and spread visits beyond the most crowded hours.

Who we work with

Travellers, groups and partners

Each kind of traveller needs a different kind of planning. We adapt the process, the paperwork and the pace.

Private travellers

Couples and solo travellers who want a well-paced trip with the details handled.

Families

Connecting rooms, child seats, shorter travel days and activities that work for every age.

Schools and universities

Educational tours with safe transport, supervised timings and learning built into each day.

Corporate and MICE

Meetings, incentives, conferences and events with venues, ground transport and hosted dinners.

Travel agents and operators

A reliable ground partner for your clients, with clear operational support.

Community and faith groups

Group travel planned around shared schedules, dietary needs and places that matter to you.

Why a DMC

A local partner makes the difference

Booking sites sell rooms and tickets. We design the journey around them and stay with you while you travel.

Start planning
  • Routes that make sense

    We plan the order of cities around real travel times, opening days and rest, so the days feel full but never rushed.

  • Hotels chosen with care

    Central, characterful and right for your budget. We tell you why we picked each one.

  • Groups of every size

    Couples, families, school groups and corporate delegations, each with its own logistics and pace.

  • Transport that connects

    Private drivers, coaches, rail passes and ferries joined up into one timetable you can follow.

  • Support while you travel

    A real person to call if a train is cancelled or plans change, not an automated inbox.

  • Clear quotes, no surprises

    Itemised proposals in euros with what is included and what is not, before you commit.
